Twins and Threads: Creating Products in a Digital World 

In this session, we will discuss Digital Twins and Threads, and how these popular and growing concepts are supported by PLM Technology. You will learn about the Six Characteristics of a PLM system, how PLM is used to support traceability during an engineering change, and product information models including Digital Twins (virtual information representing physical products) and Digital Threads (connecting “as-models” throughout the entirety of the product lifecycle). This session provides a high-level view of foundational concepts in product lifecycle management, using real-world examples.
